TERMS OF SERVICE

01. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DeVert ("the Platform", "devert.in"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DeVert, governed by the laws of India including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its amendments.

02. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use DeVert. By using the platform, you represent that: • You are at least 13 years old • You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms • You are not prohibited from using the platform under applicable laws • Your use will comply with all applicable laws and regulations

04. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to: • Upload, post, or share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or obscene • Cheat, manipulate, or exploit bugs in arena matches or leaderboard rankings • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or platform systems • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to interact with the platform without written permission • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the platform • Use the platform to spam, phish, or distribute malware • Violate any applicable law or regulation

05. User-Generated Content

By submitting content (projects, comments, code, bio) to DeVert, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display and distribute that content within the platform. You retain ownership of your content. You are solely responsible for the content you post. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without notice. DeVert does not claim ownership over your code, projects, or intellectual work.

06. Intellectual Property

The DeVert name, logo, design system, and platform code are the intellectual property of DeVert and are protected under applicable IP laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of the platform without express written permission. User content remains the property of respective users. Platform content (missions, challenges, curriculum) is owned by DeVert.

07. Arena & Competitions

DeVert arena matches and competitions are conducted fairly. By participating: • You agree to compete honestly without external assistance during timed challenges • Match results are final once recorded • DeVert reserves the right to disqualify users found cheating • XP and rankings earned through dishonest means may be revoked Prizes (if any) for competitions will be governed by separate competition-specific terms announced at the time.

08. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for: • Violation of these Terms • Fraudulent or abusive behaviour • Extended inactivity (12+ months) You may delete your account at any time from your Dev Card page. Upon deletion, your data will be removed within 30 days per our Privacy Policy. We will not be liable for any loss resulting from account termination due to Terms violations.

09. Disclaimer of Warranties

DeVert is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee: • Uninterrupted or error-free operation • Accuracy or completeness of platform content • That the platform will meet your specific requirements Use of the platform is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, DeVert shall not be liable for: • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages • Loss of data, revenue, or profits • Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the platform shall not exceed ₹1,000 (Indian Rupees One Thousand).

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to first attempt resolution by contacting our Grievance Officer at devert.contact@gmail.com. We will respond within 24 hours and attempt resolution within 15 days.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via the platform or email at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
